Tandori Grill

I’m a sucker for a some pretty lighting.

Well this was a sleeper but holy smokes, I’ll be telling everyone to go there.*

Scott and I are at our last joint in this part of Bethel Road. We are not going to do Hoggy’s as they have more than one location. Other places that are not reviewed here are because we don’t want to be unkind. We’ve been there, promise.

But walking in, we were delighted that décor was a step up from utilitarian. Our server was quick to greet us and was friendly.

The menu has more than Tandori cooked items, but we figured when at a place with a Tandori oven, that is what you order. He got a samosa and we bought a Tandori combo platter with Chicken Leg Quarters, Beef and Lamb Seekh Kababs. It came with rice and salad.

The condiment was amazeballs.

It is easily the best piece of chicken I’ve eaten in last 5 years. It was marinated deeply, moist and full of flavor. Yeah, sorry there are no pictures of that. We really should do better.

100% go there. There were signs that indicate they have a lunch buffet, that is likely very affordable and great entry to any cuisine. But that comes with one’s comfort with buffets post Covid. I’m not there yet, but you may be.

*This asterisk is because we went next door to a grocery that freaked my food safety professional out. If they are sharing a kitchen I take this review back. I don’t know how to find out without asking directly, and you’d think I could do that but at this point I have not. What I saw was food cooling to room temperature, un covered and where customers could access it…not anyone flinging filth, but non the less, a concern.

And see I can be unkind, sorta.
